Community Life

Jesus commands us to go into the world and make disciples - men, women, and children who know Jesus personally and follow him faithfully. At Ben Davis Christian Church, we long to see our city changed by the power of Jesus working in the lives of His disciples.

How can we make disciples? Our Community Life ministry helps you grow into who God has designed you to be, while living life among other disciples in an intentional community. When you get involved in a Missional Community, you will discover a true family who is committed to helping you become a completely committed follower of Jesus - together.

Serve on a Team
Care

At Ben Davis Christian Church, our Care Team exists to come along individuals through life’s seasons of sorrow and celebrations. If you have a passion for helping others through practical and spiritual service, the Care Team has a spot for you. 

The Ben Davis Christian Church Care Team members serve with our prayer team and provide one-on-one care opportunities such as care requests facilitation, financial coaching, and more.

Groups

At Ben Davis Christian Church, we believe that life is best lived when done together. Our Missional Communities help support the spiritual growth of our church family and encourage impactful, gospel-centered relationships for a lifetime. 

When you serve with our Community Life Team, you will help bring guidance and support to our Missional Communities by becoming group leaders or coaches, offering administrative opportunities within groups, creating group-centric content and curriculum, and more.

Guest Services
Help us make our first-time guests feel like VIPs! Our Guest Experience team works hard to create environments where our guests feel welcomed, safe and connected to the Ben Davis Christian Church family. Our Guest Services team serves guests from the street to the seat – and back. Our Guest Services team includes our greeters, auditorium ushers, coffee, and more.
Next Steps
At Ben Davis Christian Church, we believe that everyone has a next step to take in their journey with God. Our Next Steps team is specifically designed to help every person at Ben Davis Christian Church journey from part of the crowd to part of our community through intentional spiritual next steps. 

As part of the Next Steps team, you can help serve at special events such as baptisms, child dedications, and Start Here – as well as offering behind the scenes administrative tasks throughout the week that help people grow in their discipleship with Jesus.

Prayer

NextGen

One of the passions that drives our ministry is helping children and students take their next step in following Jesus and growing in their faith. The NextGen (Next Generation) ministry is a core way that we partner with families together to introduce the next generation to Jesus Christ, and equip families to build a lasting foundation of faith in their homes. Serve with NextGen to help us accomplish this mission.
Serve on a Team
Kids Ministry

Help the next generation know the love and hope of Jesus Christ by serving with our Kids Ministry team! This team is committed to teaching our next generation of leaders more about Jesus and equipping our kids with the tools they need to change their world. 

You can serve with Ben Davis Christian Church Kids Ministry in a variety of ways – serving our infants, toddlers, and elementary kids, as well as providing family hosts, curriculum preparation, behind the scenes administrative roles, and more.

MOPS
Our MOPs program offers Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPs) a chance to rest and be encouraged through intentional community and teaching. Want to help serve our MOPs moms? Serve with childcare at MOPS, offer to be a MOPS mentor, or help us develop our next MOPS event.
Students

We love our Ben Davis Christian Church students! Our Equip Student Ministry team is committed to igniting a movement to reach a disconnected and disinterested student culture in need of the hope of Jesus. 

With our Equip Student Ministry team, there are always opportunities to serve our students as small group leaders, music/creative opportunities, community outreach, event prep, and administrative coordinating both on Wednesday nights and during our weekend services.

Young Adults

Every student is one loving adult away from success and confidence. Be part of the change in our community by serving as a mentor to our young adults. You can encourage young people with notes or even adopt a college student or intern. Join our monthly Young Adults ministry and watch as your impact changes lives.

GlobalX

When Jesus said to go to the whole world and make disciples, he meant the entire world. Lost people matter to God, so lost people matter to us. One of our most vital missions as a church is to see the hope of the gospel preached to every corner of the earth - whether in our backyard, across the country, or around the world. Learn how you can get involved in our GlobalX ministry to help us spread Jesus’s love and fulfill His Great Commission.

GlobalX
When Jesus inaugurated the church, He gave us a simple mission: Take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Our GlobalX Team is our local and global missions arm of Ben Davis Christian Church, helping equip our members to be the hands and feet of Jesus from our backyards to the farthest parts of the globe.

The GlobalX team is comprised of compassionate individuals who are dedicated to seeing the lost come to know Jesus Christ. From hosting service projects, leading mission trips, and creating immersive experiences throughout the year, our GlobalX team works closely together to prepare and execute the mission of Ben Davis Christian Church to serve our city and change the world.

Rize Kidz
In the Kingdom of God, every child has a loving family. At Rize Kids, we seek to create an exciting and welcoming environment where children from our community can find hope and healing. Serve these incredible kids as part of our Rize Kids team – from driving the church bus on the Sunday morning pick-up and drop-off routes, helping run Rize Kids on Friday evenings, and leading out on developing outings and ministry events.
Service Projects
We love to take part in the restoring work of Jesus in our community. Join our Service Project team to help lead a crew or be a part of a project team. As part of our service project team, you can make a lasting difference in our local community through fun projects such as neighborhood clean-ups and assisting our strategic partners with mission-based projects.

Worship Arts

Every single one of us worships something. The question is what are you worshiping. The Worship Arts team at Ben Davis Christian Church, seeks to encourage and equip our church family to focus their lives on worshiping God - the primary purpose of our lives.

When we gather for services, we worship together through song, teaching, remembering, and celebrating what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. Want to help us dream up and create the amazing services and other worship outlets that we experience every week? Join the Worship Arts team to learn how to make every aspect of our lives an experience of worship of God.

Communion

We remember the sacrifice that Jesus made to cover our sins every week by taking communion. You can help us create a powerful communion experience by serving with our communion team the first weekend of each month.

Production

Each Sunday, our Production Team works hard to help create an environment where all those who enter our doors have a genuine encounter with the God who loves them. From our guest experience to worship service environment development, there isn’t an inch of Ben Davis Christian Church that hasn’t been designed and implemented thoughtfully by our Production Team.

Our Production Team is looking for volunteers who have experience in ProPresenter, lighting, audio, and video production, and more.

Story

Each one of us has a story to tell of God’s goodness in our life. At Ben Davis Christian Church, we love to share the stories of our church members to show others how God is at work each and every day. 

Our Story Team is made up of creative individuals gifted in social media, photography, design, and video to spread the word of Jesus through visual storytelling. Each Sunday, the Story Team works together to post social media content, capture exciting videos and photos, and plan for church-wide communication throughout the week.

Worship

When we gather each week at Ben Davis Christian Church, we sing gospel songs that bring glory to Jesus. The Bible shows us that music is a powerful form of worshipping Jesus and we use music to unite us as a church every week. 

Are you interested in joining our Worship Arts Team? We encourage those with any musical talent or interest to start the audition process to become a part of the worship team.

Operations

Ben Davis Christian Church exists because of the faithfulness of every member of our family - including those who serve behind the scenes. Our Operations Team is filled with heroes who help us create a strong, healthy, and safe environment for ministry each and every week.

The Operations Team serves in both the facilities and financial aspects of Ben Davis Christian Church, and is always ready to welcome new volunteers who want to jump in and get involved with our Finance and Admin Team, as well as various building projects, workdays, and other construction projects.

Are you an energetic person who loves the outdoors? We are always looking for fun-loving and dedicated team members for our facilities team. As part of the Facilities Team, you can help us serve our community and church family with clean and functional indoor and outdoor spaces. Whether you love cleaning, mowing, painting, or have a knack for general maintenance, there is something for everyone on the Facilities Team.
Security
Have an eye for the hurting and trained hands for helping? Join our Security Team – our first-line responders who help us provide a great parking experience, keep a protective eye on our services, and be a first responder in a crisis.
