When My Mind Won’t Move On

About the Sermon

Feeling stuck replaying something you said or did — even after you’ve apologized, even after God has forgiven you? This week in our Headspace series, we’re talking about guilt, shame, and the moments your mind just will not move on. Here’s the core idea: God isn’t asking you to live in your past. He’s calling you forward. From Isaiah 43, we see God tell His people, “Forget the former things… I am doing a new thing.” He’s not saying “pretend it never happened.” He’s saying, “Stop letting it define you. I’m not done with you.” In this message we walk through: • The difference between guilt and shame – Guilt: “I did something wrong.” (from God, meant to lead you back to Him) – Shame: “I am something wrong.” (from the enemy, meant to keep you stuck) • Why you still feel heavy even after you’ve confessed it • How to finally lay it down and stop punishing yourself • How to start living like you’re actually forgiven If you’ve ever thought, “I know God forgives people…but not this, not me,” this one’s for you. God has already thrown that weight in the ocean. You don’t have to carry it anymore. He is doing a new thing — right now. Need prayer, want to talk to someone, or ready to take a next step with Jesus? We’d love to help.

This is Not Where I Want to Be

Have you ever looked at your life, your faith, your relationships, or your purpose and thought, “This is not where I want to be”?

Spiritual drift rarely happens all at once. It happens gradually. One small compromise. One missed opportunity. One distracted season at a time. Before long, we find ourselves wondering how we got so far from where God intended us to be.

How to Find Joy When Life is Hard

In this message from our Be Our Guest series, guest speaker Lito Solorio opens James 1:2-6 and explores one of the Bible’s most challenging commands: “Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds.” Through personal stories, biblical teaching, and practical encouragement, Lito shows how followers of Jesus can find joy, perseverance, and wisdom even in life’s hardest seasons.

Go Mad, Go Make a Difference

Go Make a Difference. In Week 6 of our Be Our Guest series, guest speaker Danny Marquez challenges the church to stop waiting for a move of God and start living as one. Drawing from John 15, Danny explores what it means to be the Ekklesia—the called-out people of God, living on mission and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
