About the Sermon

In this sermon, we will focus on the importance of community and support in healing from church hurt. We will examine how being vulnerable and seeking support can lead to a deeper sense of community and healing. We will also discuss practical ways to find support and connect with others in our church community.

King Jesus Over All

This message will dive into Jesus as the Lion of Judah, the one true King who reigns over everything—yes, even politics. We’ll explore the problem of political idolatry and how easy it is to slip into worshipping political leaders or parties instead of Jesus. Our loyalty belongs to the Lion, not the elephant or the donkey.

Praise in the Pain

In the final sermon of the series, we explore how lament can lead to a stronger, more resilient faith. Habakkuk’s journey from doubt to trust provides a powerful example of how we can praise God even in our pain. We’ll offer practical ways to navigate through dark times, emphasizing that God is always present and worthy of our trust, even when He feels distant.

Still on the Throne

This message challenges us to confront the reality that God’s plans often differ from our expectations. Through Habakkuk’s story, we learn the value of patience and the importance of trusting God’s timing. Our disappointments can deepen our faith when we rely on His sovereign and loving purposes, even in difficult seasons.
