Ben Davis Christian Church (“BDCC,” “we” or “us”) runs bdcc.org. This page explains what information we collect when you visit the website, how we use it and the choices you have. If you have a question about any of it, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.
Information you give us
You don’t have to give us any personal information to read this website. We only collect it when you choose to share it, such as when you:
- fill out a form to contact us, ask for prayer, plan a visit, sign up for an event or take a next step like baptism
- join a group or register for something in our church app
- give online
- email or call the church office
That information usually includes your name, email address and phone number, and anything else you choose to write in the form. We use it to answer you, follow up on what you asked for, plan events and care for our church family.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, bdcc.org collects some basic information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, the pages you view, the site that sent you here and a general location based on your IP address. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site so we can make it more helpful. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The website also remembers a few settings in your browser, like whether you switched the site to Spanish, so it stays the way you left it on your next visit.
Services we use
Some parts of the website are provided by other companies. When you use them, they handle your information under their own privacy policies.
- Church Community Builder runs our church app, our forms, our groups and our event calendar.
- Pushpay processes online giving. We never see or store your full card or bank account number.
- YouTube hosts our messages and livestream. Videos played on bdcc.org come from YouTube, which may set its own cookies.
- Google provides analytics and maps.
- Hostinger hosts the website.
How we share information
We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the staff and volunteer leaders who need it to help you, with the services listed above so they can do their part, or when the law requires it.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Parents and guardians register their kids for children’s ministry and events. If you think a child has given us information through the website, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Keeping information safe
The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS), and we limit who can see the information you share with us. No website is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete the personal information you’ve given us, or to stop sending you emails, at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
