Bible
The Bible is God’s Word, written by men guided by the Holy Spirit. It comprises 66 books that are both infallible and authoritative because they were inspired by God.
God
Trinity
God exists as a Trinity: three co-equal and co-eternal beings in one—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere present.
Father
God the Father is the eternal creator of all things. He is the ultimate authority of the universe, holy and perfect. He is the source of all life and the sustainer of all that exists. He can only be known through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on the cross. He rose from the grave after three days, showing His power over sin and death.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every believer from the moment of salvation, providing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. Christians seek to live under His control daily.
People
Value
All people have value and are the supreme object of God’s creation.
Creation
People are created by God and for God. He makes humans in His image, creating both male and female. Each person is valuable and worthy of dignity, regardless of disability, gender, race, or age.
Fall
People are separated from God as the result of disobedience. All are born with a sinful nature and all sin against God. No human effort can restore the broken bond between people and God
Salvation
Salvation
Salvation is the forgiveness of sins, restoring the broken relationship between humankind and God. It is a gracious gift from God, received by faith alone in Christ alone. Anyone seeking salvation must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, repent, and be baptized.
Baptism
Baptism is the essential first step in a one’s journey as a disciple of Jesus Christ. It is exclusively performed through immersion, identifying a believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The only prerequisites for baptism are repentance of sin and faith in Christ alone.
Church
The Church is the Body of Christ, with Jesus as its head. Our primary purpose is to make disciples who follow Jesus and help others do the same. Christians become part of the Body of Christ at baptism. To be healthy, each part of the body must work together in unity.
Eternity
The Return of Christ
Jesus will return to earth and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for eternity. No person knows the date or the hour, but can prepare for His return by living faithfully to Christ’s commands.
Heaven and Hell
We believe in the reality of heaven and hell. Heaven is a place of eternal life and joy in the presence of God for those who have trusted in Jesus. Hell is a place of eternal separation from God for those who reject His offer of salvation. Our eternal destination is determined by our response to Jesus Christ.
