Help us build a school on top of a mountain in Ti Boucan, Haiti.

God is good. We are grateful for the generous and gracious support of our church. The amount that was collected between July 23 and August 27. On Sunday, August 27 Ben Davis Christian Church collected a total of $49,210.19 to build a school on top of the mountains of TiBoucan, Haiti. With the original goal of raising $30,000, additional funds raised will be used for expanding the project. Details are to follow – you may continue to give to the campaign through the end of 2017 online, by mail, or in person.

“I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

— Matthew 17:20

Faith That Moves is a campaign to fund construction of a school on the mountain peaks of TiBoucan, Haiti. With an enrollment of 250 primary students, the school has gathered without a building since 1986. Our goal is to raise $30,000 by January 1, 2018. The amount will fully fund construction – providing proper education to countless students for years to come and gainful employment for local residents during the project (most residents live on less than $3 a day).

Campaigning for Faith That Moves began July 23 with the goal of raising funds on August 27.

Following Faith That Moves, you can sponsor a child at the TiBoucan school. Sponsorship is $25 a month and provides tuition, a uniform, a daily meal, and access to medical care.

Who will build the school?

We will employ Haitian laborers to construct the school while provided periodic oversight to the project. Haiti is the most impoverished nation in the Western Hemisphere – the average Haitian lives on less than $3 a day. Our efforts will not only provide a school to 250 children, but also the dignity of work throughout the duration of the project.

When will the school be built?

Ben Davis Christian Church will fund the project through the Christianville Foundation. Funds will be provided in increments as needed until completion. At this time, there is no start date though we would anticipate construction beginning at the start of the New Year.

What will the school look like?

Construction in Haiti is a different process. Once the funds have been collected, plans for the school will be drafted and shared on this webpage. Like most structures in Haiti the school will be constructed of concrete and steel.

What happens when the project is completed?

Following completion Ben Davis Christian Church will send teams of teachers to host clinics and teams to support the school as needed. Child sponsorship will also be available at Ti Boucan. Sponsorship includes tuition, uniform, nutrition, and access to medical care.

What percentage of my gift will fund the project?

Absolutely 100% of all the money that is donated will fund the construction of the school in Ti Boucan.

How can I give?

There are three methods for giving. You may give in person at a worship service on August 27, by mail (please note Faith that Moves in the memo of your check payable to Ben Davis Christian Church), or online at
